Why it matters

You are not imagining it.

During perimenopause and menopause, estrogen, progesterone and testosterone shift and decline. Those changes can affect sleep, mood, energy, body composition, libido and long-term bone and heart health, often years before your periods stop.

Too many women are told their labs are “normal” and sent home. We look at the whole picture, including your symptoms, cycle, history and goals, and build a hormone plan around you rather than a one-size-fits-all protocol.

Good to know

Frequently asked questions.

When should I consider hormone therapy?

If symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweats, poor sleep, mood changes, brain fog, low libido or vaginal dryness are affecting your life, it is worth a conversation. Perimenopause can begin in your late 30s or 40s, years before periods stop.

Do I need labs before starting HRT?

Your provider reviews your history and symptoms and orders labs when they will guide your plan, such as hormone, thyroid and metabolic markers. Results are interpreted alongside how you feel, not on their own.

What types of hormones do you use?

Options can include estrogen, progesterone and, when appropriate, testosterone, in forms such as creams, patches, pills or injections. Your provider will discuss which approach fits your health history and goals.

Is hormone therapy safe?

For many healthy women under 60 or within 10 years of menopause, the benefits of hormone therapy for symptom relief often outweigh the risks. Before recommending treatment, your provider reviews your personal and family history, including breast cancer, blood clots, stroke and heart disease.

Can I do HRT virtually?

Yes. We see patients in person in Port Jefferson, NY and by telehealth across New York, Florida and Louisiana.

Can I use my HSA or FSA?

Many patients use HSA or FSA funds toward care at Method Regenerative. Check with your plan administrator first, since rules vary by plan. We provide an itemized receipt for anything you submit.
